The El Paso Mission Trail Association will:

  • Promote, Educate and Preserve tourism efforts along the Mission Trail and other historical areas, buildings, sites and associated historic routes in El Paso County.
  • Encourage broad-based participation in the organization, especially from residents of each of the communities of Ysleta, Socorro, and San Elizario.
  • Operate and/or contract to operate gift shops, museums or to join with others in these and similar operations.  To encourage the starting of gift shops, restaurants, museums and other tourist attractions that are appropriate for historical areas.
  • Publish and/or sell historical and/or tourist materials.
  • Contract for services such as master plans, research, construction, or other services which will help finance or help in the general purposes of the organization and to hire an executive director or other employees.
  • Develop and operate or contract to operate festivals/fiestas or other activities whose main purpose is to further the restoration of historical sites and/ or builds, to raise funds for the above purpose or to further the education of the general public, and to promote tourism in the El Paso area.
  • Make efforts to increase economic development through tourism and other appropriate activities
  • Raise funds for the purposes listed above.
